Define the future of your manufacturing model

Automation is defined as the process of utilizing control systems to remove human intervention from a task. The benefits of automation include reduced labor, higher repeatability, and increased quality.

Integration is the coordination of a collection of processes. The benefits of integration include increased throughput, reduced work in process, and the concept of getting more out of what you have.  Should a company automate, integrate, or both?

The obvious answer is both.  The more difficult answer is, “How this is done?”
